Happy first weekend of the New Year!
I am SO excited about this upcoming year and I hope you are too!
I believe at EF we are doing something very special together! We are bringing amazing people together who want MORE for themselves! More health, more inspiration, more focus, more motivation, more joy, more energy, more confidence, more camaraderie, more strength/flexibility and fitness, more vitality, more consistency, more control and more feeling that LIFE IS GOOD! 🙂 It’s natural and a good thing to want MORE. It’s what helps us to grow, change and thrive.
OK, so put a bunch of this awesome energy in a room together and BIG MAGIC happens! I see that happen every time we hold a class at EF!
I got my new 5-Minute Journal for Christmas this year!!
Yay! I highly recommend it!
The Power of Daily Affirmations. As part of the daily 5 minutes, you practice “Daily Affirmations”. Not woo-woo stuff (not that there’s anything wrong with that 😉 ), but believing in the total power of HOW WE THINK makes a difference in what we experience (hello, subconscious!). The journal makes you write one down. Easy.
Meaning create a SIMPLE statement that defines YOU as you want to be. Every time you write down (that’s key) your daily affirmation (or say it if you don’t write it) you prime your BRAIN to start building this belief in your mind. With consistency, you will begin to create that change from within. Write or say it daily.
I was talking to one of our clients recently and we were brainstorming about how to reach some of the important goals she wants this year (lose weight and get control around nutrition). She said she keeps thinking, “I will focus on “____” when I have more time.
We all have the SAME amount of time right now you’ve ALWAYS had and WILL every have each day, week, month and year. You have to START NOW on outlining in your mind HOW YOU DEFINE THE YOU THAT YOU WANT and the future you want. It’s a priority thing, friends.
Start TODAY with writing or saying one simple Positive Affirmation. (of course you can get the journal if it sounds helpful, I’m buying one for my college aged kids too.) This will help you make the CHOICES each day and week etc. that will be in alignment with your affirmation. Thus, small steps getting you closer to your goals. If we believe it, it will happen.
“I am confident and comfortable in my own skin”
“I live with passion and purpose”
“I exercise 5 days a week” (or whatever YOUR GOAL is to see change)
“I choose happiness”
“I fuel my body with healthy food”
“I am strong”
“I am MORE than my job”
“I am enough”
“I am open to change”
“I am worthy of time to take care of me”
“I deserve good things”
You get the idea. The list is endless and ALWAYS positive! Don’t underestimate the power of this exercise and how your subconscious will grab onto it!
