As you could probably guess, protein powder is a great way to add more protein to your diet. However, most people think of it as something primarily for body builders and athletes, who mix it up into a not exactly pleasant-tasting protein shake each day. Well, most people are wrong! Protein powder is a great addition to a whole variety of recipes, a lot of which need some protein to balance out the other macronutrients. Below we have listed three recipes that will take your protein powder usage to the next level.

Note: We like to use MRM Natural Low Carb Protein, which comes in French Vanilla and Creamy Chocolate.

  1. Protein Pancakes. Any recipe with the word “pancake” in it sounds great in our book, but this one is really easy to boot! Just three ingredients plus whatever mix-ins you want. We recommend blueberries and almonds. Sometimes nothing can replace pancakes with the family on a Saturday morning, so now you don’t have to! Try the recipe here.
  2. Soft and Chewy Protein Granola Bars. Grabbing a granola bar as a part of a quick lunch might seem like the easiest thing to do, but all you are really getting is a pile of carbs. This recipe is a fun project that makes a pan of protein-packed granola bars. Eat one at the office or bring it on a hike, these are super versatile!
  3. Strawberry Banana Protein Popsicles. Even though school is back in session it looks like our summer is just beginning! Try out these popsicles made with coconut water, they are the perfect refreshing treat after being out in the sun. With the protein powder in there you will fuel your body and cool off at the same time! Check out the recipe now.
